Violently Aggressive Calamusoid Attacks

The genetically engineered and violently aggressive Calamusoid mutants that has inhabit the swamp areas near Fort Lahar and Fort Medusa since December last year, have recently been spotted in the outskirts of Chugs Hideout and Fort Ithaca.

As the Calamusoids are known for their extremely aggressive behaviour, the Calypso Defence Force (CDF) urges all colonists that plan to visit these locations to use extreme caution.

The initial reports coming in from hunters suggest that the area around Chugs Hideout have attracted low maturity Calamusoids, while higher maturities have been spotted near Fort Ithaca.

The swamps toxic gas, although is toxic to humans, is not toxic for the Calamusiod, which seem to thrive in the harsh toxic gases. While the gatherings of Calamusoids outside of the swamps are a new phenomenon and the reasons for it are still unknown, it should be expected that very high level maturities may appear and cause extreme damage. Hunters should be prepared for the worst possible scenarios and carefully choose their gear.

Happy hunting to those brave colonists helping to repel these threats and help keep Chugs Hideout and Fort Ithaca safe!

The Migration Season Has Arrived

Every year around the same time, we see the massive Eomons migrating along the continent of Eudoria on planet Calypso. The Eomon are the giants of Calypso. Their annual migration across the continent of Eudoria was discovered many years ago, and many scientists and hunters track their location during this time of year ever since.

Pheromone levels have been steadily raising in the atmosphere over the last month and scientists have predicted that the 2020 Eomon migration season has just started.

The annual Eomon migration continues to be a popular seasonal hunting event for new and seasoned big game hunters alike. As many other species such as the Mulmun mutants and Atrox predators follow in the wake of the mighty Eomon herd.

Along with the Eomon herd migrating over the south east of the Eudoria continent, the Longtooth also moves over the fields of the north west. There are also Longtooth Adolescents, ideal for lower level hunters, and Longtooth wave events at a number of locations.

Herds of Longtooth waves are are found at the following location:
West of Fort Argus - Higher maturity
North of Livas Heights - Higher maturity
North of Atlas Haven - Lower maturity
South West of Chug’s Hideout - Lower maturity
South of Limnadian District -Llower maturity

Estimated migration paths for both the Eomon and Longtooth species have been released by RDI Xenobiologists based on data collected from previous migrations.

This data analysis predicts that the Longtooth Migration Path will begin east of Cape Corinth and south of Livas outpost, and end near Fort Ithaca.

The Eomon migration begins in the eastern parts of the Eudorian continent in the Minopolis desert region, passing near Ashi before ending in the south near Camp Carter.

Longtooth Adolescents, suitable for younger hunters, have been spotted at the following locations:
Chug’s Hideout
Fort Zeus.

Robot Mayhem

In the last few weeks there has been an intense fight between the robot forces and volunteer colonists at numerous locations on the Eudorian continent on planet Calypso.

The intense fighting during this time has allowed the research and development institute to secure a hackable subterranean base matrix node.

In order to retrieve information from the node the research and development institute has placed a data interceptor above the node. The data interceptor is now ready to be activated. Upon activation, the machine will start to extracting valuable information from the robots base matrix node, once activated the robots will detect the intrusion and seek to destroy the data interceptor.

The Calypso defence force are looking for willing participants to activate and protect the data interceptor installation.

The data interceptor needs to stay intact for as long as possible. The predicted projections on the assault of the data interceptor show that the robots will be dispatching multiple wave of Evicerators, Spider Bombers, Defenders, Warlocks and Warriors against each Data Interceptor.

The research and development institute has stated "We cannot stress the importance of this mission enough and will teleport any colonist volunteer from anywhere in the Entropia Universe to the data interceptor’s location."

You can select the appropriate category for you skills under the global section of the events interface.

Calypso Robot Offensive

The Calypso Research and Defence Institute has released a report stating there has been an increased in activity in the robot subterranean base matrix network and increased communication activity between robot dropships above Eudora on Calypso.

The report suggests that the robots are amassing their forces for another offensive, the robots are primarily targeting the settlements at Camp Phoenix, Cape Corinth, Camp Icarus, Chugs Hideout, Fort Ithaca, Fort Pandora, Fort Troy, Minopolis and the robot main base at Hadesheim.

The robots with the lowest threat level are targeting the area around Camp Icarus, while the more heavily armed robots are focused on the other targeted locations.

The Calypso Research and Defence Institute has advised to take precautions in regard to both armour and weapon selections and advice that forming teams with other colonist will also allow for effective engagements against the heavier robot forces.

Further information regarding the intention of the attacks are yet still unknown.

Shortage of technological components

Due to a shortage of technological components effecting the smaller colonies on Calypso, Consul Tiberius Calderon, the consul appointed by Omegaton, will be placing a number of orders on the auction in an effort to supply colonies experiencing acute shortages of technological resources.

Omegaton is one of the 3 major corporations on Calypso and the Federal Empire's official logistics company, although Omegaton was originally bidding for exclusive control over the original colonial contract for Calypso, it was unable to hold onto it, and the contract was shared with the two other corporations.

Genesis Star CEO Maximilian Wolfe says "The initiative is anything but generous, claiming the import-dependent colonies are being forced into a monopoly arrangement. No other importer can get near those planets, the Imperial Navy's got them surrounded. Only Omegan freighters are allowed in."

The accusations were denied by Tiberius Calderon, "The Genesis will say anything to discredit their competitors. It's pathetic."

Omegaton will also be offering the additional incentives to help the procurement effort, for each component, 100 PED will be awarded to the colonist who makes the largest contribution to fulfil an  order for each individual component, and 1000 PED will be awarded to the colonist who contributes the most total Trade Terminal value, of any combination of components.

Simple 4 Conductors - 12000 PED
Simple 3 Conductors - 60000 PED
Simple 2 Conductors - 160000 PED
Simple 3 Plastic Springs - 90000 PED
Simple 2 Plastic Springs - 112000 PED
Simple 3 Plastic Ruds - 17000 PED
Simple 2 Plastic Ruds - 110000 PED
Hardened Metal Ruds - 30000 PED
Basic Filters - 50000 PED
Basic Sensor - 22000 PED
Basic Structure - 45000 PED
Standard Matrix - 50000 PED
Standard Plate - 25000 PED
High Performance Engine - 15000 PED
Electropositive Processor - 10000 PED
Reinforced Bearings - 10000 PED
Heavy Duty Core - 10000 PED

Omegaton will place orders until the total Trade Terminal values listed above have been successfully purchased. Note that all of the orders listed above may not be active on the auction at the same time. Some components may be purchased using multiple orders.

Monria Born Field Trips

Each month a field trip is conducted to other planets for people born on Monria. The Monrian Born Program guides new people through the other planets beginner missions and to collect teleporter location for future exploration.

This is just a tip of the iceberg for aid provided to people born on Monria. The Monrian Born Program was designed to give every Monrian Born community member resources that will enable them to have the best possible beginning experience on Monria and across the rest of the universe.

The Monria community manager "DarkMoonEnigma" provides all new Monria Born a free starter kit containing a weapon, ammo, and heal tool.

During Monria born monthly field trips to other planets upon the Yamoto mothership, first time Monria born passengers will receive an RK-5 and welding wires. The RK-5 is a vehicle repair kits, which requires welding wires to use, and can be used to repair vehicles and components on the mothership. Repairing vehicles will provide valuable experience in the construction. Several of the Yamato mothership pilots also host repair skill runs depending on time available.

Working along side this Monria born program is the Monria Community Assistance Team (MCAT), which is a group of community members who have volunteered their time to assist individuals with a number of situations. Including distributing valuable information to the Monrian community, aiding in acquiring DSEC mining and military teleporters, assisting in the Monria born field trips, protecting miners extracting ore claims, and providing healing.

Maffoids CDF Warnings

Once again the coming-of-age ritual of the Maffoids is upon us. The Calypso Defence Force is urging colonists to be extra careful over the coming weeks.

The Maffoids are a mega-mutant of the humanoid mutant subspecies. During this time of year only the most ferocious and ruthless Maffoids can rise to higher ranks among the tribe.

The Calypso Defence Force has sent out a warning to all colonists travelling close to Dust Keep Valley, Aegis Mound and Jason Centre to exercise caution due to the annual coming-of-age ritual of the local Maffoids tribes, where it is believed that the strongest Maffoid will soon gather.

There have also been reports of increased Maffoid activity near Camp Echidna and Cape Corinth, so be prepared and try to travel in groups in case of Maffoid attacks. Camp Icarus and Half Moon Bay have also experienced recent raids by small but aggressive packs of Maffoid Outrunners.

Colonists passing near these areas are advised to wear armour with impacts and cut protections if engagement is necessary.

Snarksnot Schnozzle

The Colonial Xenobiological Institute has reported large herds of Snarksnot in several locations on the Eudoria continent, a number of reports of Snarksnots have been located near Cape Corinth, Camp Echidna, Fort Ithaca and the Nus Lull area.

Scientists at the Colonial Xenobiological Institute are still speculating about what is causing the highly aggressive Snarksnots to once again gather in large numbers.

Many of the scientists that have studied older records kept by the Colonial Xenobiological Institute from last year have noticed a correlation very similar to this year and will continue further to investigate this abnormal seasonal phenomenon.

Rumors have also been circulating that the giant Schnozzle has been spotted in the large herds of Snarksnots. The Scnozzle is a much larger breed of the Snarksnot species, and is also a genetic relative to the snablesnot species.

Snarksnots are known for their devastating damage potential when threatened. They are heavily built, with loud calls that is common sound across the Eudorian continent. It is highly recommends hunters strengthen their armour with additional armour plating before attempting to hunt these beasts.

Codex Released and Shares Trading

Bestiary Codex Released

Anyone who keep track of Entropiazine will know that back in July MindArk announced that the current mission system will be replaced with a new mission system.

Today the citizens were handed a new Codex system today containing information on the creatures they have killed, along with a new ranking system based on contribution. The bestiary list in the codex will automatically be added when a person makes their first kill with the new system.

There will also be a period where both the new and old systems will be in place at once, during which kills on qualifying creatures will result in progress on both the old and new system.

The grace period between the two systems will extend approximately one year, if you complete the requirements for the old iron mission during the cross over period, you will receive the usual reward, but you will not be able to begin the next mission of the old system.

When the one year cross over period has elapsed, all missions from the old system will be disabled for all participants. Progress will no longer be possible for the missions, and uncompleted missions will not provide any rewards.

Crystal Palace Shares For Sale

In other news today, we also see the release of the ability to sell shares in the shares system. Right now people are buying and selling shares in the new system.

Back in May Crystal Palace Shares was released to the public, being the first land area to implement the share system.

500,000 shares are available shares equalling to 100% of the Crystal Palace's land area and was originally sold for 10 PED or $1.00 USD each. All the shares were sold in less than 3 days.

Currently the price of each share is around 17.50 PED, but we can not predict if the price will raise or fall. The revenue from the shares have an average of 0.01 PED each per week, payed every Monday.

The estate is be managed by the official avatar "MindArk CrystalPalace Manager". Energized Fertilizer necessary to maintain creature spawns in the biodomes will be acquired by "MindArk CrystalPalace Manager" at the normal auction at market prices.

Update from the Colonial Xenobiology Institute

The Colonial Xenobiology Institute has reported on the update of the locations of the Daspletor and Cornoanterion that are slowly damaging the ecosystem.

The Daspletor was once the terror of the Ametheran wastelands considered to be extinct. The DNA from these creatures was later used to recreate these creatures in self contained bio-labs on the space stations above Calypso, The Daspletor are a giant, carnivorous animal relative of the Fugabarba. Considered to be at the top of the food chain, they can ran quickly on powerful legs and could bring down any animal easily.

Just like the Daspletor, the Cornoanterion was recreated using DNA in the bio-labs. The Cornoanterion are four eyed creature with a number of large twisted horns protruding from it head and upper torso. Cornoanterion are highly aggressive with the ability to charge at high speed

Update from the Colonial Xenobiology Institute:

Daspletor and Cornoanterion have spreaded near Fort Ithaca.

Updated Locations:

Daspletor near 69436, 87091
Cornoanterion near 68758, 87168

Original Message from the Colonial Xenobiology Institute:

Help protect Calypso’s ecosystem from the potentially devastating effects of these two dangerous and aggressive predator species!

Hunting challenges for these two creatures can be acquired from Hunting Challenge Terminals all over Calypso, or from Simo Hayna on the asteroid F.O.M.A.

Current Locations:
Daspletor near 86118, 84189
 Cornoanterion near 86913, 84790

Alien Creatures In Space Transport Crash On Calypso

A cargo ship was forced into making an emergency landing near west of Minopolis today with cargo which is deemed dangerous for the ecosystem by the Colonial Xenobiology Institute.

In the initial investigations a possible malfunction in the security systems on FOMA allowed the Daspletor and Cornoanterion to board the ship while docked before the travel to Calypso, catching the pilot unaware.

The Daspletor and Cornoanterion have reportedly escaped from the cargo bays on the ship and with fears growing over these two species having a drastic effect on the ecosystems the Colonial Xenobiology Institute has issued an urgent request for assistance.

The fear that Daspletor pose a severe threat to the native flora and fauna of Eudoria is not unfounded, previously the Daspletor had the same effect in some regions on the continent Amethera.

Currently the two species can be found relatively near the landing site. While the Cornoanterion have remained in the woods to the west, The Daspletor have wandered down to the desert regions south-southwest of Minopolis.

Message from the Colonial Xenobiology Institute:

Help protect Calypso’s ecosystem from the potentially devastating effects of these two dangerous and aggressive predator species!

Hunting challenges for these two creatures can be acquired from Hunting Challenge Terminals all over Calypso, or from Simo Hayna on the asteroid F.O.M.A.

Current Locations:
Daspletor near 86118, 84189
 Cornoanterion near 86913, 84790

With the migration season over...

The Longtooth and the mighty Eomon have completed their voyage across the plains of the Eudorian continent on Calypso once again, and now many hunters will now return to their usual pray.

Little has be heard from the Calypso Defence Force this migration season, we can assume this is a good sign the hunting season went very smoothly. With the migration going as planned, based on previous observation made by the Research and Development Institute, no major settlements were disturbed during the migration.

Unlike our first steps on Calypso, we have come to know the planet slowly more and more as each years passes, and our regrowth into certain technologies like transportation, have made it easy for new colonist to get about and experience the vast continents of Calypso safely and easily.

It is expected that the markets effected by this annual hunting event to recover in under a month from now.

As the Eomon pheromones start to fall, the wildlife on planet Calypso will start to return back normal and the hunters now look forward to the Halloween and Christmas mayhem events.

This is also the time of year when many of the miners will start migrate to Arkadia for the yearly gold rush event.

Old Fred

The largest of the Longtooth appears near the end of the migration season after the heard have travelled across the vast continent of Eudoria on Calypso and consumed most of the vegetation in their wake.

In honour of the death of the lovable former governor of Calypso Frederic Durren, it was decided that biggest, fattest of the Longtooth during each migration should be known as "Old Fred".

Durren loved joking, even at his own expense and it seemed to be most fitting way to honour him. Since his death, it has become a tradition among hunters, old and new alike, to hunt the "Old Fred" of the Longtooth every year.

For any intrested in taking part in this great yearly hunt, Old Fred currently can be located south west of Fort Ithaca, and the loot will be shared with anyone participating in the hunt regardless of teams.

As the migration season comes to an end, time is slowly running out to take part in this great hunting event.

Calypso Wildlife In A Violent Rage

Eomon pheromone are causing the wildlife to exhibit manic episodes of rage!
As Eomon pheromone levels drop signalling the end of the Eomon and Longtooth Migration, the local wildlife have been effected by the Eomon pheromones and are on a rampage.

For over a month now the planet’s creatures have been exposed to the potent Eomon pheromone, these pheromones are known by scientist to be strength inducing, but the side effects include a state of violent mania, scientists haves stated this may effect several species, but are are unclear towards their effect on all the inhabitants of the planet, as each creature is individual, not only in species, but also in the individual genetic structures of each animal.

Some scientist have speculated the pheromones also effect the breading cycle of many of the creatures on the planets, with some species appearing larger on numbers. Other scientist have speculates that the pheromone can also effect the maturity of the animals on the planet, bringing on early maturity faster.

Although the creature on the planet seem to be more aggressive and in larger number, the effect are predicted not to last long as the Citizen Defence Force has issued no warning.
